In this talk, I will introduce a particular subclass of the Horndeski theory of gravity. The model includes the derivative self-interaction of the scalar field and its derivative coupling to gravity. We study the late-time dynamics of the Universe for the model that we propose and compare our obtained theoretical results with observational data, including bounds on the propagation speed of gravitational waves. Our result shows that the model is consistent with the observational data and, at the same time, it respects the string Swampland criteria. Furthermore, the estimated propagation speed of gravitational waves is within the observational bounds.
