Title : Exact holographic RG flows at zero and finite temperatures
Abstract : The AdS/CFT duality suggests a realization of the quantum field RG flows via gravity solutions in the holographic dual theory. According to the holographic dictionary a domain wall solution to Einstein gravity coupled to a scalar field with a potential corresponds to RG flow at zero temperature. At the same time one can consider a black brane solution to generalize the result to finite temperature. The form of the dilation potential adapted to the holographic model should reproduce the features of QCD, namely confinement and asymptotic freedom. However, for a realistic choice of potential one cannot obtain analytic solutions to Einstein equations. We choose instead to consider a toy model with the potential representing a sum of two exponential functions. We obtain novel exact gravity solutions which can be interpreted as RG flows at zero and finite temperatures and are characterized by their holographic $beta$-functions.
